Seriously, the BEST Christmas treats EVER!!

Chocolate~covered Peanut Butter Balls!!

(Also lovingly called Reindeer poo, Buckeyes, or Bulls Balls!).

Merry Christmas ya'll!! These delicious chocolate covered peanut butter ball treats are our family's favorite, and were my personal favorite growing up! The recipe is from my mother, and as a kid they were called "Bulls Balls" and I believe many call them "Buckeyes" as well! However, my 6 year old daughter at the time, elected to rename them "Reindeer Poop" for the sheer humor in it! I must say I love it! You will devour these and they'll quickly become a crowd FAVE!! I’d eat them all year long!!

Ingredients:

2 sticks butter

1- 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter

3- 3/4 cup powdered sugar (packed)

1- 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs

1- 1/2 tsp vanilla

Chocolate coating:

(2) 15 oz. bags chocolate chips

(2) bars bakers chocolate

4 tbsp butter

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan, melt the peanut butter and butter together on low heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix together sugar, graham cracker crumbs, and vanilla.
  3. Make sure the powdered sugar is packed in the measuring cups when measuring.
  4. Pour melted PB & butter mixture into the bowl of dry ingredients.
  5. Blend all together in the bowl.
  6. Line a baking sheet with foil.
  7. Roll PB mixture into small balls, about the size of a walnut, and line on the sheet.
  8. Chill for 30 minutes in freezer.
  9. Melt chocolate and 4 tbsp butter over low heat or a double boiler.
  10. Coat PB balls with chocolate. I prefer to hold the ball in a spoon in the left hand, and in the right hand, use a spoon to pour chocolate over the ball, then kind of dance the ball between the spoons, coating the ball with chocolate. The chocolate is too hot to just drop the PB ball into it and fish it out. Then place balls onto foil.
  11. Chill over night and ENJOY!!!!
